Our Services

We are a house of worship beyond walls.

Temple De Hirsch Sinai leads the community in Reform Jewish thought and practice. We take great pride in our reputation for innovation. Our members experience avodah (worship) in a variety of ways including the power of song, the inspiration of words and the beauty of our sacred space. Worship opportunities are offered at both campuses.

Rock Shabbat
Temple’s own rock worship band plays traditional songs in an untraditional way. Participants are often out of their seats singing and dancing to the Shabbat music. This service generally takes place on the second Friday of each month in Seattle and the fourth Friday of each month in Bellevue.



Shabbat Unplugged
An intimate Shabbat experience highlighted by reflective acoustic music. This service takes place on the first Friday of the month in Bellevue and the third Friday of each month in Seattle.

Shacharit Services
Saturday morning Torah Study and worship minyan. No prior knowledge necessary to our lively discussions of the weekly portion. Our TNT experiences (Torah & Tefillah Together) take place each Saturday in Seattle.

B‘nai Mitzvah Services
B'nai Mitzvah services take place on Shabbat mornings at 10:30AM or 5:00PM on Shabbat afternoons. All services are open to the entire congregation. You are invited to share in each family’s joy as their children become formal members of our community. Please refer to our calendar for  B’nai Mitzvah locations.

Shabbat Kesher
A warm and uplifting Shabbat service featuring our youth choir. Come hear our talented students enrich our worship with their song. This service generally takes place on the third Friday of each month in Bellevue.

Classic Shabbat
This traditional Shabbat service features our adult choir, and often features a guest instrumentalist. Worship is enhanced by melodies with a more traditional feel. This service generally takes place on the first Friday of the month in Seattle. 

Tot Shabbat
Most Fridays at 11:15AM, a welcoming Tot Shabbat service is open to all young families in the community, in conjunction with our Jennifer Rosen Meade Preschool program in Bellevue.

Outdoor Shabbat Services
During the warmer months we typically hold services outdoors in order to revel in the beautiful weather. Please check the calendar during the summer to find the dates and locations of our outdoor services.

Third Shabbat
Our third Shabbat of the month in Bellevue features upbeat music with piano and soloist. We continually experiment with a variety of musical styles, drawing on our religion’s rich musical tradition.

Fourth Shabbat
We continually experiment with a variety of musical styles, drawing on our religion’s rich musical tradition.

Holiday and Other Special Worship
Be sure to check the Temple calendar for other worship opportunities, including the consecration of our new students and our Simchat Torah celebration in the fall, and our Confirmation and graduation ceremonies in the spring.

High Holidays
At both of our campuses, we offer services for Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah, Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur. Family services are offered in Seattle and Children’s Services are offered in Bellevue. Members are provided with tickets as part of their membership.
