Temple Life Havurah Groups

Havurah Groups

Join one of Temple's many Havurah groups!

A havurah is a small group of Temple members who share common interests for the purpose of meeting new people, regularly connecting with other members and general overall fun.

In a temple community as large and diverse as Temple De Hirsch Sinai it can be difficult to meet and get to know people on a personal level. Havurot may act as an extended family with the sharing of lifecycle events and holidays and may create the beginnings of lifelong friendships.

The focus of a havurot (from the Hebrew chaver meaning “friend”) may be as varied as its members. Some havurot may be family oriented, some focused on study or discussion. Some may be more socially oriented:  dinners together, group nights out; others may prefer outdoor activities: hiking, skiing or camping.

If you are interested in participating in a havurah, please complete and return this form.  We will match you with members who have similar interests and goals.
