Mitzvah Opportunities

Thank you to everyone who turned out for Mitzvah Days!
Together we helped many families and organizations.

Please let us know if you have any ideas or would like to volunteer to help out wtih next year's Mitzvah Days. Click here to contact Rabbi Alan Cook for additional information.

What are Mitzvah Days?
Mitzvah Days are congregational wide community service days, Saturday, April 21 & Sunday, April 22, 2012. Hundreds of Temple De Hirsch Sinai volunteers of all ages with loving hands and willing hearts, filled with the spirit of giving, will go out into the community to make a difference.

Who participates?
You, your family, friends, singles, seniors, anyone and everyone who wants to join in the mitzvah work on Mitzvah Day. Children will participate with their parents or another adult.

I’m coming to Mitzvah Days!
We will meet at specified work sites for orientation. Directions to follow after registration is received. Mitzvah Projects vary in length. Please consider appropriate attire for outdoor activities, including sturdy shoes, work gloves, rain gear, sunblock, etc…

I am unable to participate on April 21 & 22. Can I still help?
If you are unable to attend one of the Mitzvah Day activities you still can participate! We are looking for donations of bulk grain, children’s toiletries, and socks. Drop them off at the marked boxes in Seattle & Bellevue. Contact Wendy at 206.323.8486 for cash donations.

How do I register?
Early registration is helpful and encouraged for planning purposes, and we appreciate your prompt response. Sign up today and ensure your space and preferred choices. Please refer to the Volunteer Opportunities listed below and fill out our  pdf Mitzvah Day Registration Form.pdf

Please mail or deliver your completed form by Wednesday, April 18 with your first four project choices to:
