You are invited on a avery special journey to Israel from July 5 to July 17, 2009. Please come to TDHS’ Bellevue campus on Sunday, October 26 at 3:30 PM for our first informational meeting. The trip we have designed will appeal to both first time travelers and those who have joined us before. We are pleased to welcome you on this sacred pilgrimage to the land of our people.
Some of the Trip Highlights Include:
• Follow the story of Israel’s pre-state elite fighting force at Beit Hapalmach.
• Descend via cable car at Rosh Hanikra to explore the natural grottos in the cliff.
• Enjoy rappelling at the Manara Cliff overlooking the Hula Valley and the
Golan Heights.
• Dialogue with Colonel (Res) Kobi Marom, former Northern Brigade Commander.
• Wine tasting at the award winning Golan Winery.
• Visit a Druse village in the Carmel Mountains including a hospitality lunch.
• Visit Qumran and see the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
• Meet with Holocaust Survivor Hannah Pick, a childhood friend of Anne Frank.
• Visit Kibbutz Yahel, a unique communal settlement, affiliated with
the Reform. Movement
