Gail Alexander, President
Gail was born and raised in Chehalis, a small community where approximately 15 Jewish families resided. She moved to Seattle in 1981 to pursue her career as a free-lance court reporter. In 1985 she married Bob Alexander. They live in Bellevue and have three children, Spencer, Lewis and Nathan. She credits her parents and grandparents for instilling in her the importance of family and Judaism. Serving on the TDHS Board continues a long line of the Alexander family involvement at Temple with Bob’s grandfather, Otto Grunbaum, being a founding member, Ira Alexander being a former past-president and Luba Alexander being a former Sisterhood president.
VISION: Temple De Hirsch Sinai leads the community in Reform Jewish thought and practice, enriching the lives of our members and our community as we explore our Jewish possibilities together.
MISSION: Temple De Hirsch Sinai serves a large, diverse, multi-campus Reform Jewish congregation in the greater Seattle area and provides leadership in promoting Jewish ethical and moral concepts. We uphold the traditional values of our historic congregation and strive to create a progressive and contemporary Jewish environment providing worship, education, lifecycle events, community building, and community service opportunities to all of our members.
